Egypt calls Israeli attack on UN-run school in Gaza ‘a war crime’

Egypt condemned on Saturday the horrifying bombardment by Israeli forces on the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA)’s Fakhoura school, which killed scores of Palestinians, as “a war crime.”

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stated that this horrible attack caused countless casualties and injuries among Palestinians, marking a new flagrant violation in the series of Israeli violations against civilians in Gaza.

“These attacks cannot become commonplace, they must stop. A humanitarian ceasefire cannot wait any longer,” UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini wrote in a post on X platform.

Receiving horrifying images & footage of scores of people killed and injured in another @UNRWA school sheltering thousands of displaced in the north of the Gaza Strip.
