Egypt ceramic maker Royal to launch new plant in Obour in Q1 2017

Egyptian ceramic manufacturer Royal Company for Ceramics Industry targets launching its new factory in 1st industrial zone at El Obour city by the end of first quarter of 2017.

Speaking to Amwal Al Ghad, General Manager Tarek Sadek stated Thursday that total investments of the new plant exceed 300 million Egyptian pounds (around US$23 million).

The new factory is established on the space of 15,000 metres including four production lines, the official stated, adding that the company has injected 300 million pounds within the last period into the new project.

Sadek pointed out that the capacity of the new factory is set to reach 300,000 metres daily, accordingly, the total capacity of Royal Ceramics to hit 80,000 metres daily.

The company expects its current capacity, i.e. 14 million metres annually, to record 21 million metres after launching the new factory, the manager clarified.
