Egypt, China Discuss Boosting Cooperation in New, Renewable Energy

Environment Minister Khaled Fahmy met on Thursday 25/12/2014 a high-level Chinese delegation to discuss ways of boosting cooperation in new and renewable energy between Egypt and China.

The delegation groups energy experts at one of the state-owned Chinese companies.

The visit comes to implement strategic cooperation between Egypt and China, which was signed during the visit of Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to China.

The meeting took up ways of discussing investment in renewable energy.

The meeting also tackled ways of offering proposals on carrying out investments in field of bio-energy through generating energy from agriculture or industrial wastes.

The Chinese delegation hailed the Environment Ministry’s keenness on confronting environmental problems in Egypt.
