Egypt confirms 993 new coronavirus cases, 55 deaths on Sunday

Egypt reported officially 993 new coronavirus cases on Sunday bringing the total infection tally to 149,792 since the outbreak began in February.

The health ministry also reported 55 new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths from the virus to 8,197.

The statement said that 606 patients have been discharged after recovering from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 118,900.
