Egypt construction federation hikes training budget for local workers

The Egyptian Federation for Construction and Building Contractors (EFCBC) has doubled the 2017 budget set for the local workers’ training programmes, chairman Hassan Abdel Aziz announced Saturday.

The federation decided to double the proportion of the training budget to be 6 million Egyptian pounds ($335,843) for the current year, Abdel Aziz said.

“We are seeking to develop training programmes for workers in cooperation with major training centres.” he added.

The federation is studying signing cooperation agreements with some training centres from Germany specialised in training workers in the construction sector on using the modern equipment and adopting advanced building mechanisms, the Egyptian official said.

Many labourers in Egyptian construction projects are either untrained, or unqualified, affecting project completion and success.https://en.amwalalghad.com/images/stories/Real_Estate/Egypt/officials/hassan-abdelaziz.jpg
