Egypt, Croatia explore new RoRo line at Davos ’25

Egypt’s Prime Minister, Moustafa Madbouly, expressed Egypt’s interest in establishing a RoRo line with Croatia, similar to the one recently established with Italy.

This came during his meeting with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum 2025 in Davos.

Madbouly highlighted Egypt’s readiness to provide skilled labour to the Croatian market and support cooperation in the petroleum sector, emphasising Egypt’s keenness to strengthen relations with the European Union, given the strategic ties between Egypt and Croatia.

Plenković announced his plans to visit Egypt in February, accompanied by a delegation of businessmen, to explore avenues of co-operation between the two countries.

He confirmed Croatia’s willingness to enhance co-operation with Egypt in the field of skilled labour recruitment, emphasising the need for a formal framework to regulate this file, especially given Croatia’s demand for skilled labour.
