Egypt denies claims of providing military aid to Israel

Egypt has denied what it called “allegations” circulated by media outlets and social media platforms regarding alleged military assistance to Israel.

The State Information Service (SIS), an Egyptian government media body, affirmed in a statement that Egypt has led Arab and international opposition to the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza since the onset of the conflict. This stance, SIS stated, has made Egypt a target of repeated criticism from Israeli officials and media, whether concerning its principled positions or its armed forces.

SIS further stressed that Egypt has provided over 75 per cent of the humanitarian aid received by Gaza and has dedicated its medical facilities to treating wounded and ill Palestinians. Egypt has also been engaged in continuous negotiations to halt the conflict and remains committed to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state while working to mend internal Palestinian divisions.

Reaffirming Egypt’s long-standing policies, SIS stated that the country remains steadfast in its defence of justice and rejection of aggression and occupation. It underscored that Egypt, both at the leadership and popular levels, has upheld these principles for eight decades, bearing significant costs in its unwavering commitment to national, regional, and ethical values.
