Egypt expands financial inclusion with Easy Cash deal

Egypt’s Ministry of Local Development signed a cooperation protocol with Easy Cash digital payment company to enhance services, expanding payment options, and enabling citizens to conveniently pay for services, as per a Cabinet statement.

Manal Awad, minister of local development, emphasised the importance of digital transformation in enhancing citizen services. She noted that the protocol is in line with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives.

She noted that the protocol aims to promote financial inclusion by providing banking tools for citizens, including those without bank accounts, to facilitate government transactions, the statement said.
