Egypt explores investment opportunities with Türkiye’s Sabancı

Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El-Khatib held a high-level meeting with Cenk Alper, CEO of Türkiye’s Sabancı Holding, on Tuesday during the 2025 World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos. The discussions centered on enhancing Turkish investments in Egypt and unlocking new opportunities across key sectors.

Minister El-Khatib highlighted Egypt’s investment-friendly environment, emphasising government reforms to streamline financial, trade, and monetary policies aimed at attracting international investors and facilitating trade. He outlined Egypt’s strategic focus on sectors such as renewable energy, infrastructure, textiles, and home appliances.

Sabancı Holding’s diverse expertise in energy, financial services, cement, retail, textiles, chemicals, and the automotive industry was spotlighted during the talks. Minister El-Khatib invited the company to explore joint ventures in Egypt’s ambitious renewable energy expansion, particularly in solar and wind energy projects.

The meeting also delved into potential collaborations in infrastructure development, encompassing housing, transportation, electricity, and industrial automation. Discussions further explored opportunities in textiles, chemicals, and automotive production, reflecting Egypt’s readiness to strengthen partnerships with global investors.
