Egypt, Siemens eye expanded collaboration in energy, digital transformation

Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly held talks on Tuesday with Peter Körte, Chief Strategy Officer of Germany’s Siemens AG, to explore ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 2025 World Economic Forum in Davos.

Prime Minister Madbouly reiterated Egypt’s commitment to expanding its partnership with Siemens, highlighting the government’s interest in leveraging the company’s expertise across a broader range of sectors.

Körte reaffirmed Siemens’ dedication to enhancing collaboration in Egypt’s energy sector, aligning with the nation’s vision of establishing itself as a regional energy hub. He also expressed the company’s keen interest in supporting Egypt’s digital transformation initiatives, underlining the importance of developing local talent to drive sustainable innovation.

The discussions underscored mutual goals of fostering innovation and sustainable development, building on Siemens’ long-standing presence and contributions in Egypt.
