Egypt eyes $8bn trade exchange with India in 2016

Egypt is targeting a volume of trade exchange with India amounting to US$8 billion in 2016, minister of industry Tarek Qabil said Thursday.

The Egyptian minister further referred to a significant export opportunity for Egypt to boost its agricultural crops sector, notably vegetables and fruits through the Indian market.

In 2014, the Egyptian-Indian trade exchange stood at US$5.5 billion.
