Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El-Khatib, held talks with Adam Goldstein, founder and CEO of Archer Aviation, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Annul Meeting 2025, in Davos. Archer Aviation is a leading US-based company specialising in advanced aviation technologies.
The discussions emphasised Egypt’s strategic position as a gateway to the Middle East and Africa, bolstered by extensive free trade agreements that enhance market access.
Discussions further focused on the potential establishment of Archer Aviation manufacturing facilities or research centres in Egypt, aligning with efforts to position the country as a regional hub for aviation and technology while creating employment opportunities.
El-Khatib also explored integrating Archer’s electric aircraft into Egypt’s air transport system to boost urban mobility and reduce congestion. The talks highlighted using autonomous aviation and AI-driven technologies to drive innovation through partnerships with local tech firms and research institutions.
