Egypt, Greece mull cooperation in healthcare sector

Egypt and Greece are mulling cooperation in various healthcare fields, said the Egyptian Ministry of Health in a statement on Sunday.

The minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar met the Greek Ambassador to Cairo Nikolaos Papageorgiou to discuss cooperation between both countries.

They discussed potential collaboration to renovate hospitals in Egypt and exchange expertise in training medical staff.

They also discussed developing a number of specialised healthcare training programmes. The meeting also explored ways of enhancing Greek investments in the Egyptian public health sector.
