Egypt increases fuel supply to Gaza to 189,000 litres per day

In compliance with an agreement with Israel, Egypt will increase the amount of fuel sent to the Gaza Strip daily from 129,000 litres to 189,000 litres, Diaa Rashwan, the head of Egypt’s State Information Service, said in a statement on Wednesday.

Under the agreement, the number of aid trucks will increase from 60 to 80 per day. The relief aid trucks began crossing the Rafah border terminal to Karam Abu Salem crossing in the implementation of an agreement with the Israeli side, Rashwan added.

Gaza has been under massive Israeli siege and bombardment since Oct. 7, which has killed so far over 18,600 Palestinians and wounded 50,594 others, Gaza’s Health Ministry stated on Wednesday.
