Egypt integrates health insurance with social protection

Egypt’s Ministry of Social Solidarity has signed a cooperation protocol with the Universal Health Insurance Authority (UHIA), e-Finance for Financial Facilities Management, and eHealth for Healthcare Technology and Management Services to integrate comprehensive health insurance systems with social protection networks.
The agreement, signed on the sidelines of the UHIA’s annual forum on Sunday, aims to enhance service delivery by connecting healthcare and social safety net programmes.
The initiative aligns with Egypt’s efforts to improve public services, ensure efficient government performance, and strengthen crisis management as part of the country’s Vision 2030 sustainable development strategy.
