Egypt is the largest Arab recipient of foreign investment

Egypt was the largest Arab recipient of foreign investment in 2022, the Arab Investment Guarantee and Export Credit Corporation (DHAMAN) announced on Wednesday.

DHAMAN said that Egypt received a total of $107 billion in foreign investment in 2022. Also according to the corporation’s report, Egypt is the third largest Arab recipient of projects with a total number of 148 projects.

Last year, the North African country was the second largest recipient of foreign investment with a total of $11.4 billion.

Egypt also offered around 61,000 job opportunity through those investments and projects. It was also the largest recipient of Arab investment with a value of $34 billion.
