Egypt issues 5 year multiple entry visa for $700

Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Issa, said on Monday that Egypt will issue new multiple-entry visa worth $700, to be valid for a period of five years.

Issa also said that a number of new facilities for the tourism visa in Egypt will be announced soon in the coming few days.

According to Issa’s announcement on Monday also added that China is among the most promising markets to export tourists to Egypt.

Issa further stated that Chinese tourists will be able to obtain an emergency entry visa at Egyptian ports, even if they come individually.

The new facilities will also accommodated tourists coming from Iraq, India, and Türkiye who hold residency from the Arab Gulf countries and Schengen visas.

In addition to tourists from the US, UK, Japan, Canada, and New Zealand, the statement mentioned.

Facilities will be provided for other nationalities as well, such as Moroccans, Iranians, and Algerian, when they come in tourist groups.

The minister explain that up until April 2022, the multiple-entry visas were valid for one year only.

Issa also said that the number of tourists coming to Egypt from Russia decreased by 40 percent, while Ukrainian tourists decreased by 80 percent in January and February.

During the past two months, Italy recorded the largest number of growth rate of tourists to Egypt by 250 percent.

The past two months witnessed an increase of 400 percent in the number of foreign passenger coming to Luxor Airport, the minister declared.

Issa also added that EgyptAir will operate direct flights between Cairo and Sao Paulo, Brazil starting September.
