Egypt, Jordan discuss Gaza crisis to reach cease-fire

Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry received his Jordanian counterpart Ayman al-Safady on Tuesday to discuss the developments in Gaza and ways to intensify efforts to halt the aggression.

Both ministers stressed the urgent necessity for a comprehensive ceasefire, according to an official statement published by the Egyptian Ministry on Monday.

They also underscored the importance of bolstering economic and trade cooperation bilaterally and within the framework of trilateral cooperation with Iraq, the statement added.
