Egypt Mega Projects conference to take place on December 8

Egyptian investment ministry is to hold Egypt Mega Projects Conference on 8-9 December 2015 in cooperation with the UAE-based MEED organisation.

The conference – hosted by MEED and supported by Egyptian General Authority For Investment (GAFI)- is set to take place in Four Seasons Hotel Nile Plaza, Cairo, Egypt.

The conference aims at highlighting the accomplishments and successes resulting from Egypt’s March Economic Summit and announcing further developments driving Egypt’s economic growth.

The conference will endeavor to assess the effective of the project market following the new political environment and post the recent elections and provide an initial guide to the projects landscape and investment framework for the county over the next 5-10 years.

MEED’s Egypt Mega Projects Conference is the follow up to MEED’s highly-successful Invest in Egypt Forum held in Abu Dhabi in November 2014

The conference will gather the investment and finance community as well as private sector who want to capture live commercial opportunities.

It will also address underpinning challenges in financing, project delivery, procurement strategies and develop future Joint Ventures and partnerships in Egypt’s changing landscape.

Conference’s key speakers include Ashraf Salman -investment minister-, Hnay Qari Demian -finance minister-, Mostafa Madbouly -housing minister-, Hisham Zazou -tourism minister-, Saad el Geyoushi -transportaion minister-, Ghada Waly -social solidarity minister-, Sahar Nasr -international cooperation minister-, in addition to Sherif Samy – chairman of the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA).

Among the speakers are Atter Ezzat Hannoura – director of PPP central unit at finance ministry-, Ambassador Yasser Elnaggar -pricipal deputy minister of investment-, Ibrahim Aly El-Osery -adviser,energy and nuclear affairs at electricity ministry-, Gamal Hegazi -chairman of General Authority For Land and Dry Ports-, and Gamal Al Shamy -Chairman Deputy for Freight at Egyptian National Railways.

Furthermore, policy making stakeholders as well as regional and international regional investors interested in financing and funding projects in Egypt are set to participate in the conference.
