Egypt partners with Yodawy to enhance digital healthcare

Egypt’s Healthcare Authority has reached a strategic partnership with Yodawy Company to enhance healthcare services across the country, according to the Cabinet’s statement on Monday. The collaboration aims to deliver innovative, technology-driven solutions that streamline patient access to medications and healthcare services more efficiently.

Ahmed El Sobky, Chairman of Egypt’s Healthcare Authority, stated that the partnership will explore integrating the Yodawy platform with the authority’s pharmacies and outpatient clinics.

This integration is expected to facilitate access to healthcare services for beneficiaries of the national health insurance system and private medical insurance plans, ensuring a smoother and faster patient experience.

The initiative plans to deliver over 400,000 e-prescriptions, reducing medical errors and accelerating the process of obtaining medications. It also includes the development of a comprehensive health data bank to support informed medical decision-making and enhance the financial sustainability of Egypt’s healthcare system.
