Egypt PM Discusses Developing “Golden Triangle” Project for Mineral Wealth

Egyptian Prime Minister Hazem el-Beblawy held a ministerial meeting on Sunday 19/1/2014 to discuss ways of developing the “Golden Triangle” project, which extends from Edfu in the southern province of Qena to Marsa Alam on the Red Sea coast and up to the area of Safaga.

The meeting was attended by the ministers of transport, trade, industry, planning, local development, housing and petroleum along with the governors of the Red Sea, Qena and Sohag.

In order to carry out this project swiftly, an independent body will be set up to manage the project, said Cabinet Spokesman Ambassador Hani Salah.
