Egypt reshapes Brazilian joint business council board

Egypt’s Industry Minister Tarek Qabil announced Monday a board revamp of the Egyptian side of the Egyptian-Brazilian Business Council.

As pursuant to the recent revamp, the council is now chaired by Emad El Sewedy – Group Chairman and Founder of El Sewedy Electrometer Group EMG is a market leader in providing state of the art metering solutions and energy management services that are tailored to manage utilities better.

The new council will be for three years.

The new board members of the Egyptian- Brazilian Business Council (Egyptian part) currently include:

–         Sherif El-Gabaly – Chairman Abu Zaabal Fertilizer and Chemical Company (AZFC);

–         Ali El-Sayad – Chairman and Managing Director of Egyptian Fitnancial & Industrial Company (EFIC);

–         Omar A. Mohanna – Chairman of Alexandria Tire Company, Egypt’s largest tire producer and subsidiary of Pirelli;

–         Mohamed Khattab – Managing Director and CEO of  Sphinx Glass;

–         Hassan Rateb – Chairman of Sinai Cement Company;

–         Omar Asfour – Chairman of Asfour Crystal International;

–         Hossam Lashine – Chairman of Nile Kordsa Company for Industrial Fabrics;

–         Lotfy Soliman – Chairman of Lord International Company;

–         Ahmad El-Sewedy – Chairman of Modern National Company for. Cables;

–         Moataz Al-Alfi – Chairman of Americana Group;

–         Wagdy Naguib Farag – Chairman Pharma Plast Company;

–         Mohammed Mohammed Farid Khamis – Board Member at Oriental Weavers;

–         Ahmed Fekry Abdel Wahab – General Manager and CEO at Egyptian German Automotive Company (EGA);

–         Amr Abou Freikha – Chairman of Engineering Export Council of Egypt and Tanta Motors;

–         Aladdin Mahmoud – Chairman of Egypt Power Group;

–         Ibrahim Abdullah Hussein – Chairman of Egy Yarn Spinning Company;

–          Mohamed Ahmed El-Sayed – Chairman of Kapci Coatings Company;

–         Mohamed Abou El Enein – Chairman of Ceramica Cleopatra Group;

–         Hamdy Abd El-Raouf – Chairman and Managing Director of Greenland Group for Food Industries; and

–         Mohamed El-Rashidi – Managing Director of Rashidi El-Mizan

Furthermore, the ministerial decree also stipulated that the Council shall submit a half-annual report to the Egyptian Ministry of Industry and Trade, involving its activities, future plans, and suggestions to develop the mutual interests for both countries.
