Egypt, Russia ink customs agreement

Egyptian and Russian customs authorities have signed a cooperation agreement to solve customs problems between the two countries, said the Egyptian authority’s chief Magdy Abdel Aziz Sunday.

The agreement also aims at coordinating between both Egyptian and Russian governments to facilitate customs processes between the two states, the Egyptian authority announced in a press released on Sunday.

Cheif Abdel Aziz stated that the agreement was signed during the visit of Egyptian authority’s delegation to Russia to take part in the International Exhibition of the Russian Customs Service 2015.

Abdel Aziz noted that the Egyptian Customs Authority has inked another two cooperation protocols with the Russian authority.

He clarified that signing those agreements comes as a response to the demands of the Egyptian businessmen and among the framework of overcoming the barriers facing Egyptian commodities to enter the Russian market.
