Egypt, Saudi Arabia discuss joint food safety efforts
Egypt’s National Food Safety Authority (NFSA) and Saudi Arabia’s Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) held talks on Thursday to enhance cooperation on food safety, inspections and the exchange of technical data, the Egyptian Cabinet said in a statement.
NFSA Chairman Tarek El Houby and SFDA CEO Hisham Aljadhey discussed efforts to harmonise food import and export standards to better protect consumer health and facilitate bilateral trade in food products.
The meeting aimed to strengthen collaboration on scientific developments and reinforce public confidence in food quality systems across both countries.
