Egypt Shares Open Lower Incurring EGP373 million Losses

Egypt’s stocks opened lower incurring early losses worth EGP373 million amid Egyptian and foreign investors’ selling on Thursday opening.

Indices

The Benchmark EGX30 dived by 0.16 % to 9703.44 p, and EGX20 pushed down by 0.21% to 11406.13 p.

In addition, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 surged by 0.29% to 621.61 p.  Price index EGX100 went up by 0.16% to 1144.13 p.

Furthermore, market capitalization reached EGP 524.474 billion on the session of Thursday opening.

Trading Volumes & Values

The trading volume has recorded 3.866 million securities worth EGP 13.201 million, exchanged through 831 thousand transactions during Thursday opening.

Also during the opening session, 59 listed securities have been traded in; 21 fell, 13 advanced; while 26 keeping their previous levels.

Investors’ Activities

Egyptian and foreign investors were net sellers at early trade on Thursday with a net equity of EGP 135.4 thousands and 95.94% , seizing 2.64%.

Arab investors were net buyers at early trade on Thursday with a net equity of EGP305.7thousands, acquiring 1.42% from the total value of trade.
