Egypt Shares Open Lower Incurring EGP63 million Losses

Egypt’s stocks opened lower incurring early losses worth EGP63 million amid Egyptian investors’ selling on Tuesday opening.

Indices

The Benchmark EGX30 dived by 0.09 % to 9719.12 p, and EGX20 pushed down by 0.03% to 11500.67p.

In addition, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 surged by 0.52% to 626.87p.  Price index EGX100 went up by 0.29% to 1146.51 p.

Furthermore, market capitalization reached EGP 524.677 billion.

Trading Volumes & Values

The trading volume has recorded 2.6 million securities worth EGP 10.1 million, exchanged through 455 thousand transactions during Tuesday opening.

Also during the opening session, 50 listed securities have been traded in; 14 fell, 15 advanced; while 22 keeping their previous levels.

Investors’ Activities

Egyptian investors were net sellers at early trade on Tuesday with a net equity of EGP 713.7 thousands, seizing 88.33%.

Arab and Foreign investors were net buyers at early trade on Tuesday with a net equity of EGP223.9 thousands and EGP489.8 thousands, acquiring 2.52%, 9.15% from the total value of trade.
