Egypt signs a deal to build an EGP 2.4bn Kafr El-Dawwar textile industrial complex

The National General Contracting and Supplies Co, a subsidiary of the National Service Projects Organization (NSPO), signed a contract with Cotton & Textile Industries Holding Co (CTIHC), affiliated to the Ministry of Public Business Sector, to carry out the construction works of Misr Spinning Weaving’s factories in Kafr El-Dawwar.

The 2.4 billion Egyptian pounds agreement includes building six textile factories over an area of 175,000 square metres, the Minister of Public Business Sector, Hisham Tawfik, said.

Once developed, Kafr El-Dawwar complex will have an annual output capacity of 9,027 tonnes of yarn from the current 366 tonnes and 50.7 million metres of woven fabric from the current 13 million, in addition to an additional dyeing capacity of 50.7 million metres.
