Egypt signs a deal with 3 UAE companies to set up pipe plant

State-run Egyptian National Organization for Military Production (NOMP) and the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater (HCWW) on Sunday signed an agreement with three UAE companies to set up a joint venture (JV).

The new JV will establish a plant for manufacturing polyethylene and polypropylene pipes in Egypt.

Under the deal, the new plant will be established for producing plastic pipes and hoses made of polyethylene and polypropylene, said a statement released by the Egyptian Ministry of Military Production.

The deal also includes the sale and marketing of these products in Egypt and other countries as well.

Commenting on the agreement, chairman of the Abu Dhabi-based Union Pipes Industry (UPI), Qasim Abdel Al Rahman, affirmed that the military production ministry and all its units have high-level technological, technical, and infrastructure capacities which would contribute to the success of the new JV.
