Egypt signs deal to set up multi-purpose terminal at Alexandria

An agreement has been signed with a Chinese firm to set up a multi-purpose terminal at Alexandria port.

Transport Minister Saad el-Geoshy, who attended the ceremony of signing the deal with China Harbour Engineering Company, said the project is planned to cost $700 million.

The minister noted that the project is part of a strategy to develop the maritime transport system in Egypt.
