Egypt signs MoUs to develop 30 GW of solar, wind energy
Egypt has signed memorandums of understanding (MoU) to develop 30 gigawatts of solar and wind energy, with expectations of further investments in the renewable energy sector, Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El-Khatib, stated during an extensive meeting with representatives of the global financial institution Jefferies.
The meeting discussed key topics related to foreign direct investment (FDI) in Egypt, aligning with the government’s strategy to strengthen cooperation with international financial institutions and attract more foreign investments to fuel economic growth.
El-Khatib highlighted that the current fiscal year is expected to witness several investment deals, particularly in the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors.
