Egypt Stocks End Higher on Tuesday, with EGP1.4 billion Gains

Egypt’s stocks closed higher on Tuesday with gains totalling 1.4 billion Egyptian pounds backed by investors’ strong buying appetite .In addition, the country’s main stock index, EGX30 closed above 9760.08 points.

Meanwhile, the Egyptian Exchange’s indices were wavering in green notes during closing session of Tuesday.

Indices

Egypt’s benchmark index EGX30 surged by 0.33 per cent higher to 9760.08 pts; while EGX20 finished 0.24 per cent up to 11532.48 pts.     
In addition, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 rose by 0.36 per cent to finish at 625.86 pts. The price index EGX100 inched up by 0.34 per cent to conclude at 1147 pts.  
Furthermore, the market capitalization recorded EGP 526.097 billion on Tuesday.

Turnovers
Through the closing session of Tuesday, the trading volume has reached 114.1 million securities, with turnovers worth EGP 563 million, exchanged through 18.9 thousand transactions.               
Also during the closing session, 173 listed securities have been traded in; 70 declined, 75 advanced; while 25 kept their previous levels.

Investors’ Activities

The foreign  investors were net buyers on Tuesday  acquiring  17.35%, with a net equity of EGP3.9 million, excluding the deals.

On the other hand, Arab and Egyptian investors were net sellers seizing 77.65% , 5.01% of the total market, with a net equity of EGP 961.5 thousands , excluding the deals.
