Egypt streamlines processes to offer attractive investment climate
The Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade is enhancing Egypt’s investment climate by streamlining processes and reducing administrative burdens for investors.
During a meeting with a delegation from the UAE-based Majid Al Futtaim Group (MAF) on Tuesday, Minister Hassan El-Khatib emphasised the ministry’s commitment to supporting investors and creating a favourable environment for both local and foreign investment. He outlined plans to improve facilities for imports and exports to boost Egypt’s foreign trade.
The discussion also addressed MAF’s ongoing and future projects in Egypt. Majid Al Futtaim operates in 17 countries and employs about 42,000 people, including over 11,000 Egyptians. The Emirati group has invested more than $2.5 billion in Egypt and plans further expansions in the market.
