Egypt, Switzerland consider boosting economic ties

Egypt is considering boosting economic ties with Switzerland, said the Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir on Monday.

This came after a meeting between the Minister and the Swiss Secretary for Economic Affairs Helene Artieda to discuss fostering economic cooperation between both nations.

The meeting discussed potential collaboration in the fields of trade, industry, and investment.

Artieda highlighted that Egypt is a key economic partner of Switzerland, in various sectors such as trade, investment, and development projects.

She expressed the Swiss intention of launching a number of projects in Egypt, especially in food industry, green economy, renewables, infrastructure, export credit guarantee, transport, and agriculture.
