Egypt targets 40% increase in engineering exports to Africa by 2021-end

The Engineering Export Council of Egypt announced that it is looking to increase its exports to the African market by 40 percent during 2020 and 2021.

The value of engineering exports such as household appliances and electronics stands at about $450 million annually.

The council seeks to benefit from the COMESA agreement up to June 2021, the Chairman, Sherif El-Sayyad, said.

He pointed out that the council seeks to introduce new exporters to the Egyptian market, in addition to promoting more for Egyptian exported products, by sending missions abroad,  participating in international exhibitions, and organizing internal exhibitions.
