Egypt targets tax revenues up to 771 bln pounds in FY2018/19

Egypt hopes to raise 771 billion pounds in tax revenues within the financial year 2018/2019, the head of the Egyptian Tax Authority said on Tuesday.

The tax authority aims to expand its tax base such as combating tax evasion in the contracts of football players, Emad Samy added to DMC channel.

Egypt’s tax revenues amounted to 266.14 billion pounds during the financial year 2017/2018 up 28.2 billion pounds from the targeted budget.
