Egypt to Establish 1st Paper Mill in Sudan worth EGP800 Million

Egypt’s Chamber of Printing Industries will establish an EGP800 million paper mill project in Sudan within this year, according to chairman Khalid Abdo.

The Chamber of Printing Industries – one of 16th chambers of industries affiliated at the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) – is set to be the first paper mill in the Sudan, the Egyptian official noted.

He further added that a delegation of Sudanese businessmen will head to Cairo within the next couple of weeks to discuss the details of the new joint venture between Egypt and the Sudan.

Egypt and Sudan had already reach an initial agreement to establish the paper mill on the sidelines of  the International Exhibition for Printing and Packaging (Nile Print Expo 2014) held in Khartoum on 17 – 20 March 2014.
