Egypt to host Bright Star 2023 with participation of 34 states

Egyptian Armed Forces announced on Sunday the details of the Bright Star 2023, which will run from August 31 to September 14 and involves 8,000 troops from 34 countries, to be held at the Mohammed Najib Military Base.

The joint military exercise aims to enhance military cooperation and combat common threats and risks. It also provides an opportunity for the participating nations to exchange expertise and learn about the latest weapons and military equipment.

The event is one of the largest and oldest joint military exercises in the world, dating back to October 1980. It is held in Egypt every two years with the participation of the United States and other countries.
