Egyptian Ministry of Electricity is to sign Tuesday a €238 million (US$260.7 million) contract with German industrial giant Siemens to build six power transformer stations.

The new power transformers, with 500 kv, will be in favour of stations located in Beni Suef governorate south of Cairo, north of Borolos Lake in Kafr El Sheikh governorate, and in Egypt’s new administrative capital. The stations will be constructed by German industrial giant Siemens and its Egyptian partners, Orascom Construction and El-Sewedy Electric.
