Egypt Trade Deficit Rose US$31 bln in October 2013: CAPMAS

An official reports obtained by Amwal Al Ghad from the foreign trade sector in the industry and trade Ministry have revealed that Egypt’s trade deficit reached EGP31 billion during the ten months which ended in October2013 the state statistics agency – the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) reported .

According to the latest report of the state’s General Organization for Export & Import Control, the government’s target is EGP US$18billion net worth of total exports of 2013 for non-petroleum products, registering US$31 billion during the first ten months of the last year.

Meanwhile, the value of imports, including petroleum products, gold ore, iron and steel, plastics and corn, increased by 10% .
