Egypt, Tunisia to promote mutual trade relations

Egypt and Tunisia have agreed to promote joint trade relations and remove all of the challenges facing the flow of trade exchange and joint investments between the two sides.

Both countries seek to bring about a breakthrough in the level of joint trade relations for the benefit of them.

This came on the sidelines of the Egyptian-Tunisian trade and industry committee’s meeting headed by Egyptian trade minister Amr Nassar and his Tunisian counterpart Omar Al Bahi.

Trade exchange between Egypt Tunisia rose year-on-year to $214 million in the first six months of 2018, including $176 million Egyptian exports and $38 million Tunisian imports.

He pointed out that the coming period will witness further development and growth in economic cooperation between the two sides.

Both parties agreed to reinforce mutual trade relations and iron out all the obstacles facing trade exchange and investments between both Arab countries.
