Egypt, Turkey discuss tourism investment opportunities

Egypt’s General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) is exploring ways of co-operation with several leading Turkish companies in the tourism and hotel investment sector on the sidelines of the African Tourism Forum in Sharm El-Sheikh, the Egyptian Cabinet reported on Sunday.

Officials met with representatives from Tripholi to discuss luxury hotel investments in Sharm El-Sheikh and New Alamein, as well as business hotels in Cairo.

The forum also included a meeting with Kilit Group, which owns hotels in Turkey and manufactures hotel supplies, to explore potential partnerships to enhance hotel infrastructure in Egypt.

Additionally, a meeting with Toura, a modern hotel furniture manufacturer, focused on supplying Egyptian hotels with the latest designs and equipment.

The meetings highlighted the strong interest of Turkish companies in the Egyptian market.
