Egypt to establish 4 logistics centres, branches in Africa during 2021

Leading public enterprise sector company, El-Nasr Export & Import Co, is seeking to establish four logistics centres and branches in Africa during the first quarter of 2021 as part of bridges initiative which was launched by the Egyptian public sector ministry.

The initial investments of the project is estimated at 20-25 million Egyptian pounds, Ashraf Saeed, the managing director and CEO of the company, told Amwal Al-Ghad

He clarified that the company has an ambitious plan to restore its role as a leading company in foreign trade field as well as doubling the company’s revenues and profits in light the new services that will be provided.

He added that an executive management team was appointed capable of bringing about development, and setting new and automated work procedures for business development through their experiences in working in the private sector.

Saeed also noted that Saeed explained that the company has signed an agreement with Agility Egypt to manage and operate the chain of services provided under bridges initiative which will officially start in January,

The agreement with Agility Egypt will add a lot to the company in the field of logistics, which is represented in “maritime and land transport, warehouse services, and customs clearance,” he added, noting that Agility Egypt is a leader in contract logistics, freight forwarding and customs brokerage.

He also noted that the company has 24 branches in Africa, whose status and assets are being evaluated, including buildings, lands and stores in order to determine a suitable plan to benefit from them.
