Egyptian Exchange ends week in Green Notes

Egypt’s stocks concluded mostly higher on Thursday with gains worth 3.26 billion Egyptian pounds (US$416 million).

The market capitalization has recorded 497.493 billion pounds during the closing session of Thursday.

Indices

Egypt’s benchmark index, EGX30 went higher by 1.06 percent to 8191.53 points.

EGX20 increased by 1.44 percent to 8232.31 points.

In addition, the mid- and small-cap index EGX70 boosted by 1.07 percent to 459.12 points. The price index, EGX100 hiked by 1.64 percent to 944.14 points.

Turnovers

On Thursday, the bourse’s trading volume has hit 253.566 million securities, with turnovers closed at EGP 821.626 million, exchanged through 27,458 thousand transactions.

Also during the closing session, 169 listed securities have been traded in; 47 declined, 95 advanced; while 24 kept their previous levels.

Investors’ Activities

Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers on Thursday capturing 86.11% and 4.56% respectively of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 7.953 million and EGP 17.449 million, respectively, excluding the deals.

On the contrary, the foreign investors were net buyers getting 9.33% of the total market, with a net equity of EGP 25.403 million, excluding the deals.
