Egyptian Islamic Finance Association Discusses SME Finance Next Sunday

The Egyptian Islamic Finance Association will hold its first conference on the development prospects of Islamic finance in Egypt next Sunday. Many banking and finance experts from Egypt and Arab countries will attend the conference.

The conference will discuss a number of important points for experts, researches, investors and businessmen who are interested in development projects in Egypt.

Firstly, the conference will introduce the role of Islamic finance in developing the country, the possible methods for offering sharia-compliant finances to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and the alternative methods for financing the operational capital.

Secondly, the conference will talk about the Islamic securities instruments such as sukuks and Islamic investment funds. It will also highlight the importance of a legal framework for Islamic finance industry in Egypt.

Thirdly, the conference will discuss the community funding instruments such as Zakat (alms), Waqf (inalienable religious endowment) and takaful (Islamic insurance).
