Egyptian pound appreciates slightly in early Thursday trade

The Egyptian pound’s foreign exchange rate against the USD saw a minor rise at the beginning of trading on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

The National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and the Commercial International Bank (CIB) set a buying rate of 47.04 Egyptian pounds and a selling rate of 47.14 Egyptian pounds for one US dollar.

Banque Misr and Banque du Caire both quoted the US dollar at 47.05 Egyptian pounds for purchase and 47.15 Egyptian pounds for sale.

QNB ALAHLI posted the dollar rates at 47.15/47.05 Egyptian pounds.

Faisal Islamic Bank exchanged the dollar at EGP 47 for purchase and EGP 47.10 for sale, while Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank-Egypt (ADIB Egypt) presented the highest exchange rates at 47.24 for purchase and 47.34 for sale.

The Arab African International Bank listed 47.12 pounds for purchase and 47.22 pounds for sale; the United Bank quoted 47 pounds for purchase and 47.10 pounds for sale; and the Housing and Development Bank recorded the dollar price at 47.10 pounds for purchase and 47.20 pounds for sale.
