Egyptian pound at 49.59/49.69 against dollar in midday trade – 24 June 2026

The Egyptian pound was broadly stable against the U.S. dollar in midday trading on Wednesday, extending a period of relative calm in the foreign-exchange market amid steady hard-currency liquidity and improving investor sentiment.

The dollar traded at an average of 49.59 Egyptian pounds for buying and 49.69 pounds for selling across five major banks as of 12:05 local time (09:05 GMT), according to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad English.
