Egyptian pound at 50.80/50.90 against dollar in midday trade – 27 July 2026

The Egyptian pound was little changed against the US dollar during midday trading on Monday, extending its recent spell of stability across Egypt’s major banks.

The U.S. dollar traded at an average of EGP 50.80 for buying and EGP 50.90 for selling across five leading banks as of 13:35 local time (10:35 GMT), according to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad English.

 Bank Buy (EGP/USD) Sell (EGP/USD)
National Bank of Egypt (NBE) 50.67 50.77
Banque Misr 50.67 50.77
Commercial International Bank (CIB) 50.7 50.8
QNB Alahli 50.6700 50.7700
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) 51.2900 51.3900

The Egyptian pound has traded within a relatively narrow range against the U.S. dollar in recent weeks, supported by stronger foreign currency inflows, improved investor sentiment, and easing pressure in the domestic foreign exchange market. The relative stability has helped limit exchange rate volatility despite continued uncertainty in global currency markets.
