Egyptian Railway Authority launches €200mn marine insurance policy tender

The Egyptian Railway Authority has launched a call for tenders on a marine insurance policy tailored for the imported equipments and train carriages of the fourth phase of Cairo Metro Project’s third line.

The insurance policy is with total sum insured of 200 million euros (US$227 million), said Mohamed El-Ghadrify – insurance broker for AIG Egypt, Iskan, and Wethaq Takaful’s technical bids.

El-Ghadrify further told Amwal Al Ghad that the technical envelopes would be opened on October 26, 2015.

The policy is two-year renewable term, he added.

The Egyptian Railway Authority is the parastatal oraganisation of the country’s ministry of transport.
