Egyptian tourism increases by 35% in 2023

Egypt’s tourism has increased by 35 percent during the first two months of 2023, according to the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Issa.

Issa also said that Egypt welcomed 11.7 million tourists in 2022 and is expecting to welcome 15 million by the end of 2023.

The Egyptian government is providing opportunities for citizens from eight countries to get tourist visas on arrival, to enhance the country’s revenues of foreign currency.

Egypt’s tourism sector has led countries in the region to record a significant growth in the number of tourists by 89 percent over the past year, according to a recent government report.
