Egyptians’ Remittances Stood At US$ 12.9 Bln In Nine Months

The remittances of Egyptians abroad witnessed an increase of US$ 3.819 billion, or 42%, totaling to US$ 12.9 billion in the first nine months of FY 2011/2012, up from US$ 9.09 billion in the first nine months of FY 2010/2011, according to the Central Bank of Egypt’s latest report.

Suez Canal revenues rose by 5.1%, registering US$ 3.9 billion in the first nine months of FY 2011/2012, up from US$ 3.7 billion in the first nine months of FY 2010/2011.
